Tapeworms may be good for your brain

Some things are just disgusting, but according to a recent article in Science about Tapeworms “one type appears to protect against memory loss in rats. The discovery, researchers say, could lead to new treatments for some neurological diseases in humans, like Alzheimer’s.” So the question is – are you a rat?

You can read the article for yourself. To me it just seems like researches are leaving no stone (or disgusting method) un-turned in the thirst to treat dementia and poor cognition. In this research, the poor rats get electrocuted and injected with drugs and infected with worms. To each their own.
